The All-Party Parliamentary Group for Universities is hosting a panel discussion on the topic of the cost-of-living crisis, to be held from 6:00pm – 7:30pm on Wednesday 19 October 2022 in the Council Room at One Great George Street, London, SW1P 3AA.
This meeting will be chaired by Daniel Zeichner MP and cover how the cost-of-living crisis is affecting students and how stakeholers across the higher education sector can work with government to ensure students are not forgotten in plans to address this crisis. We will hear such perspectives from a student accommodation provider, an expert on student finance, and the lived experience of student representatives.
There will be a Q&A session following the speaker presentations to allow members of the group to discuss the presentations and ask further questions.
Attendees are welcome to arrive at the venue from 6:00pm, with speeches beginning promptly at 6:15pm. Drinks and refreshments will be served after the panel discussion, from around 7:30pm, giving the opportunity to network with attendees.
To RSVP, please email APPUG@universitiesuk.ac.uk by 12 October and note any dietary requirements.
