On 10 June 2026, the All-Party Parliamentary University Group (APPUG) held an Extraordinary General Meeting to elect a new Chair and Vice-Chair.
The vacancies followed the previous Chair, Adam Thompson MP’s promotion, and Stephen Gethins MP’s departure from Parliament following his election to the Scottish Parliament.
We are pleased to confirm that Dr Rupa Huq MP has been elected Chair and Martin Rhodes MP Vice-Chair. Congratulations to both on their new roles, and thank you to all parliamentary members who attended the meeting.
